Iranian Human Rights Society, September 26, 2022. On the tenth day of nationwide uprising, protests continued in many cities and regions. People also called for nationwide strikes.
The 10th day of nationwide uprising in Iran was passed along with People’s call for nationwide strikes. And government began mass arrests of citizens as well as political activists and legal activists in order to stop protests. Among those arrested, we can mention the arrest of Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraei, Maryam Karim Beigi and lawyer Babak Paknia.
Number of those arrested among innocent countrymen whose only desire is basic citizenship rights (freedom) increased tremendously and is more than ten thousand.
On the other hand, wave of disappointment and failure among the government forces has risen very high. According to the report received by Iranian Human Rights Society. On the morning of September 26, two hundred and fifty dollars deposited into the account of police personnel.
In army, the army personnel were given two frozen chickens and 500 thousand tomans each, which made personnel angry.
In another incident, many artists and athletes separated from government camp and stood up to support the people.
People’s call for nationwide strikes on the 10th day of the nationwide uprising in Iran
On the 10th day of nationwide uprising, protests took place in various cities and regions, including Sanandaj, Tehran, Bojnord, Qorveh, Narmak, Sattarkhan, Oshnavieh, Yazd, Divandarreh, Barazjan, Qom, Mashhad, Tabriz, etc.
Yazd, a large number of people gathered on university and protested.
In Tehran in Sattar Khan and Haft Hoz’s streets, people clashed with the officers.
Tehran, people chanted slogans of death to the dictator from the roofs of the houses.
In Divandarreh, people burned a big Khamenei banner on the bridge.
Rashidiyeh, in Tabriz, youths set fire to a police car.
According to the film published by Oshnavieh, which was published despite internet cut off, people protesting and chanting slogans: Martyr does not die.
People’s call for nationwide strikes
Also, people demanded the start of a general strike with the widespread publication of a call for nationwide strikes. Many university professors have announced a strike in protest arrest of students and not attend classes until they released.
The students of Tabriz Dental Faculty joined nationwide strikes in protest the widespread arrest of students, and the students of Tarbiat Modares university chanted the slogan “The imprisoned student must be freed”.
Also, protest organizing council of oil contract workers said if the killing of people is not stopped, we shut down working.
