A prisoner was executed in Saqqez prison
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, citing Kordpa website, on Sunday, March 5, 2023, a prisoner was executed in Saqqez prison.
This prisoner, whose name was Kiyomarth Zarghami, was accused of murder and was sentenced to death for the same charge. He was arrested in May 2021 on the charge of murdering his wife.
In the last month of the Iranian year, the judiciary of Velayat-e faqih (the Rule of the Jurisprudent), the ruler of Iran, executed a large number of prisoners. In the last two weeks, at least 35 prisoners have been executed.
