No Justification for Shahram Tahzib Arrest and Home Invasion

Security agents arrested Bahá’í citizen Shahram Tahzib in Gonbad-e Kavus on Dec 3, 2025, without warrant, searched his home, and seized books, leaving family in distress amid rising Golestan crackdown.

Iran Human Rights Society, Friday, 5 December 2025- The sudden Shahram Tahzib arrest. This Bahá’í citizen lives in Gonbad-e Kavus. The incident raises alarms about growing security pressures on the Bahá’í community in Golestan province. Local sources confirm that authorities arrested or interrogated many Bahá’í citizens here in recent months. Furthermore, this event signals a disturbing trend.

Night Raid Leads to Unknown Detention

Shahram Tahzib

Early on Wednesday morning, December 3, Intelligence Department agents burst into Shahram Tahzib’s home. They arrested him right away. However, they showed no warrant. They offered no clear reason either. Then, agents transferred him to an unknown spot. Sources near his family say the team searched the house thoroughly. They took personal items, mobile phones, and Bahá’í Faith books.

In the days since, Tahzib’s family hears nothing. They lack details on his detention site, contact options, health, or court status. Therefore, their worry mounts. The family asked the Intelligence Department, prosecutor’s office, and other offices for help. Yet, all queries went unanswered. This silence deepens their pain.

No Justification for Shahram Tahzib Arrest and Home Invasion

Family sources describe the chaos clearly. Security agents grabbed Shahram Tahzib without any stated cause. At the same time, they ransacked his entire home. Reports show Intelligence forces seized documents, belongings, and Bahá’í books. They left without a receipt. Moreover, they revealed no transfer destination.

Continued arrest of Kourosh Ziari and Sholeh Shahidi

Recently, the family still gets zero updates. They know nothing about his well-being, jail location, visit rights, or case progress. Visits to security and court offices in Gonbad-e Kavus and Gorgan yielded nothing. As a result, fears for his safety grow stronger each day.

Surge in Bahá’í Arrests Across Golestan

Available facts tie the Shahram Tahzib arrest to a larger assault on Golestan’s Bahá’í community. In the past few months, agents raided homes in Gonbad-e Kavus, Gorgan, and Aq Qala. Several Bahá’í citizens faced arrests or drawn-out questionings. Human rights activists highlight a repeated pattern. It includes fake charges, unexplained grabs, property grabs, school bans, and job squeezes. This scheme plays out year after year in many Iranian provinces. Now, Golestan sees sharper focus. Consequently, worries double for everyone involved.

Human Rights Breaches in Shahram Tahzib Case

A quick summary: Shahram Tahzib’s random grab and the total info blackout for his family scream violations of basic human and civil rights.

  • Article 9: Ban on Random Arrests-Tahzib’s family gets no word on his jail spot. Plus, agents skipped a real court order. These steps break the rule against baseless arrests.
  • Article 18: Religious Freedom Rights-Agents rifled the home and snatched Bahá’í texts. This targets one man just for his faith. It shows clear bias and squeeze.
  • Article 12: Shield from Home Invasions-The surprise raid, item theft, and full house flip invade privacy. This hurts Shahram Tahzib and his loved ones deeply.
  • Article 5: No Cruel Handling-Zero news and no family links spark huge stress. Such mental strain counts as cruel abuse.
