Two elite students arrested, without any judicial warrant.Their arrest was followed by beatings. These two students then transferred to solitary cell 209 of Evin prison.
On the evening of Friday, April 10, the officers arrested these two student activists after searching their homes and severely beating them without presenting a court order. During the attack of 12 IRGC agents on Ali Younisi’s house, they brutally beat him and broke his forehead.
Amir Hossein Moradi, the silver medalist of the National Astronomy Olympiad in 2017, and Ali Younesi, the silver medalist of the National Astronomy Olympiad in 2016 and the gold medalist of the Astronomy Olympiad in 2017. Also, Ali Younisi has brought pride to Iran by winning the gold medal in the 12th World Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad held in China.
On Monday, November 22, 2021, Amnesty International published an open letter addressed to the judiciary of Iran. He warned about the danger of execution of two elite students, Ali Younisi and Amirhossein Moradi, and demanded their immediate release.
Finally, these two elite students, political prisoners, sentenced on June 26, 2022. And after 808 days of being kept in closed cells and solitary cells in Evin prison. With heavy sentences of 16 years in prison, they transferred to Evin public prisons.
