Political prisoner Marzieh Naseri, who detained during the nationwide protests in 2023, sentenced to four years in prison. She should spend her sentence in women’s ward of Vakilabad prison in Mashhad.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Saturday, September 31st, 2023. Mrs. Naseri sentenced to four years in prison after about nine months of detention in Vakilabad prison without trial.
According to a reliable source, Mrs. Naseri convicted of “propaganda against the regime”. And also participating in illegal gatherings by the Revolutionary Court.
Mrs. Naseri, a 41-year-old resident of Mashhad, arrested on December 6, 2022, in relation to the nationwide protests in the city. She detained for 20 days in solitary confinement at the city’s intelligence detention center .And then transferred to the women’s prison quarantine in Mashhad, which is an unsanitary and inappropriate place.
Mrs.Marzieh Naseri, a 41-year-old resident of Mashhad, arrested on December 6, 2022, in relation to the nationwide protests in the city. Also two other political prisoners, Azam Gholami and Sakineh Parvaneh, are in difficult conditions in Ward 5 of Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. They deprived of access to medical treatment, in an unsanitary environment and without medical facilities. They are also held with violent and ordinary criminals, contrary to the principle of separating crimes. Additionally, prison officials and supervisors are intensifying pressure on them with violence and mistreatment.
