Security forces tried to intimidate the city by making widespread arrests.

On Friday, September, 29, after the end of Friday prayers, young protesters in Zahedan took to the streets and also chanted slogans against Khamenei and his repressive policies. Security forces initially tried to prevent the formation of protests. But were forced to retreat due to the resistance of the people. People continued their protests with slogans such as “Death to Khamenei” and “Death to Basijis”.
