According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Saturday, November 4, 2023. After execution of three prisoners in Adel Abad prison in Shiraz, one prisoner in Ahar prison. And also increasing executions in Dastgerd prison in Isfahan, the number of executions in Iranian prisons in less than a month It reached 37 people.
Adil Abad Prison, Shiraz
In the morning of Monday, October 30, 2023. Three prisoners named Shahab Sadeghzadeh, Mansour Taghvai, Haider Salkhurdeh executed in Adel Abad prison in Shiraz.
Shahab Sadeghzadeh, 31 years old, from Arsanjan, and Mansour Taghvai, 35 years old, from Arsanjan, both drug suspects who arrested and sentenced to death in a joint case two years ago.
Haider Salkhurdeh, another prisoner, accused of murder and was in prison for this charge since three years ago.
Execution in Ahar prison
At dawn on Sunday, October 29, 2023, a male prisoner named Shamsullah Benabi executed in Ahar prison. He accused of killing a man three years ago over financial disputes.
Shamsullah Benabi, 42 years old, from azvin vineyard, sentenced to death after arresting on the charge of murder.
Dastgerd prison in Isfahan
Before this, we had published the news about the execution of the sentence of 4 prisoners in Dastgerd prison in Isfahan. The news indicates the execution of another male prisoner in this prison on drug charges.
In this way, on November 2, 2023, 5 prisoners named Ebrahim Narouei, Nasir Karimi, Ali Hadei and two other prisoners with unknown identity executed.
Historically, execution has been a tool of dictators’ power and rule to intimidate and subjugate people. The dictatorship ruling Iran has been using the tool of execution for 40 years to create suffocation and stabilize its sovereignty permanently; because giving up the means of execution and repression means the destruction of the religious authority system.
