Execution of the sentence of three prisoners in Qazvin, Jiroft, and Birjand prisons
Increase in the execution of the death penalty in Birjand prison and the execution of two other prisoners in Qazvin. And also Jiroft prisons.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Monday, 13th of Azar 1402 (4th December 2023). In addition to execution of two prisoners in Qazvin and Birjand , number of executed prisoners in Jiroft prison reached five.
Increase in the execution of death sentences in Birjand prison
On the morning of December 12, 2023, in addition to the four prisoners whose execution news published in Birjand prison. Also another prisoner named Hamid Sarani also executed.
Hamid Sarani, 27 years old, married and with one child, from one of the villages in Birjand. Like the four other prisoners executed on this day in Birjand prison, he accused of drug-related offenses and executed on this charge.
Execution in Qazvin Prison
On the morning of Sunday, 12th of Azar month, 1402 (Iranian calendar).
He accused of committing the murder three years ago during a dispute over financial issues.
Execution in Jiroft Prison
On the morning of Monday, 13th of Azar month, 1402 (Iranian calendar). A Baloch man named Fereydoun Nasiri Nezhad Naroui executed in Jiroft Prison.
Fereydoun Nasiri Nezhad, 35 years old and from Zahedan, Arrested four years ago on charges of drug trafficking and sentenced to death.
Historically, execution has been a tool of power and dictatorship to intimidate and subdue people. The dictatorship ruling Iran using the tool of execution for over forty years to create fear and establish its permanent rule, because refraining from using the tool of execution and repression means the destruction of the system of the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist.
