According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. The physical condition of Baloch political prisoner Hamidreza Kohkan has deteriorated.
His life is in danger due to deprivation of treatment.
He subjected to severe mental and physical torture in the detention center of the Intelligence Department.
When he transferred to Zahedan Central Prison, he transferred to Ward 9 of this prison and solitary confinement.
According to a source close to Hamidreza Kohkan’s family, due to the torture of the intelligence agents in the detention center. His left hand is now numb, and its fingers are paralyzed and unable to move.
His cell has no window or ventilation. According to reports, he is in a very bad condition. Due to the tortures, he needs medical treatment, but the prison authorities and the Zahedan Intelligence Department prevent him from receiving medical treatment.
According to a source close to the family of Baloch political prisoner Hamidreza Kohkan, the intelligence agents in the detention center had nailed his wrists. And for this reason, his left hand is now numb, and its fingers are disabled and have no movement. Because of these tortures, his shoulder was also damaged, and his ribs were broken. According to this report, he needs urgent medical treatment. In order to torture him, the prison authorities prevent him from medical treatment.
It is 2 months since the political prisoner Hamidreza Kohkan, arrested.
Baloch political prisoner Hamid Reza Kohkan, along with his wife, Mrs. Naroei, his nephew Ali Akbar Kohkan, 20 years old, son of Halim. And his brother, Hareth Kharout, son of Shamlan, 16 years old, arrested by Zahedan intelligence forces on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
His wife and her infant child released from the women’s ward of Zahedan prison on February 29, 2024.
Hareth Kharut, 16 years old, is still in detention at the Zahedan Intelligence Center. He transferred to the detention center of the Intelligence Center for forced confessions from the Rehabilitation and Education Center for Children, and as of this date, there is no information available about his fate.
It is worth mentioning that the two children of Hamidreza Kuhkan, with the names of Edris, 23 years old, and Benjamin, 16 years old, and his nephew Zabihollah Kuhkan, the son of Majid, are also detained by the intelligence forces.
On Monday, March 4, 2024, the mother of Baloch prisoner Hamidreza Kohkan suffered a cardiac arrest and died due to nervous pressure caused by not knowing about the fate of her child and her family.
