A report on the dire situation of Sunni prisoners in Ghezel Hesar prison andnon-responsiveness of the head of GhezelHesar prison
According to [Iranian Human Rights Society, on Monday, September 18, 2023. 15 ideological-political Sunni prisoners in Ghezel Hesar prison locked up in two sub-cells of Ghezel Hesar secure prison without any facilities. since they transferred from Gohardasht prison. The head of Ashkan Kamali prison prevents the preparation of a suitable hall for these prisoners by disrupting the works. These prisoners transferred to Ghezel Hesar prison on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in line with the evacuation policy of Gohardasht prison.
These prisoners, some of whom are in prison for more than 13 years and awaiting the death sentence, not allowed to have access to shops. They deprived of proper ventilation, health and treatment facilities and are imprisoned in small cells.
Despite the follow-ups and repeated protests that these prisoners have made. The prison authorities and the head of Ghezel Hesar prison, Ashkan Kamali, refused to prepare a suitable hall to endure their imprisonment with numerous disruptions. And no convincing answer given.
The names of these prisoners are as follows: Faridun Zakeri, Ghasem Abeste, Seyed Davoud Abdullahi, Abdolrahim .Ghanbarzahi. Gorgij Eidou Shah Bakhsh, Suleiman Shah Bakhsh, Abdul Ghani Shah Bakhsh, Salahuddin Ziaei, Anwar Khezri, Khosrow Basharat. Kamran Sheikheh, Ayoub Karimi, Farhad Salimi, Mohammad Saleh Ziadullah and Abdullah Voria.
