According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on April , 2023, Amirhossein Moradi and Ali Younesi sent a message to the people of Iran on the third anniversary of their arrest.

Two elite students and political prisoners, Amirhossein Moradi and Ali Younesi from Evin prison. Consider themselves a drop from Roaring River to break the dictatorial dam that stands in the way of Iran’s history. So that this sea reaches the beautiful plain of freedom.

These two elite students wrote in part of their message about the hard days and the walls of Evin: “In their hearts, these walls hosted loving people who welcomed hardships for Iran’s freedom and with their resistance, turned Evin into a common symbol of oppression in two dictatorships.”

In another part, these two imprisoned students Amirhossein Moradi and Ali Younesi considered themselves indebted to the support of the dear people of Iran, who have become their support, and considered it an honor for themself and wrote: Like all the young people who were killed in the street, we have no desire but the freedom of Iran, and resisting in prison is a small task on our shoulders.

The full text of the message of two political prisoners, from Evin Prison:

On April 10, 2020, we arrested with a severe beating and transferred to Ward 209. In total, we spent more than two years in solitary cells and closed cells. And in the third year we transferred to the general ward of Evin prison.
In these three years, we have gone through an eventful path. Those hard days after the arrest, when we were transferred from the university classroom to solitary cells at the beginning of our youth, we asked ourselves if these stone walls, which have been built for more than 50 years, are witnesses of pain, suffering and torture. Who were they? In their heart, these walls hosted loving people who welcomed hardships for the freedom of Iran and with their resistance turned Evin into a common symbol of oppression in two dictatorships.

In the midst of torture, pressure and threats of execution, we saw ourselves as a drop of the roaring river that is trying to break the barrier called dictatorship, which is on the way of Iran’s history, to reach the beautiful plain of freedom.

Among those hard days, your support, dear Iranian people, encouraged us. Your support became a strong barrier between us and the gallows, a barrier that the passage of time did not affect, and we owe you our whole life and this is a great honor for us. We hope and strive to be worthy of your unreserved support.

Some ather part of the message of two political prisoners:

We were saved from many dangers in the arms of your love and support. So that we feel indebted to you more than ever. And we pledge to ourselves that we will not worry about our freedom until the day we celebrate Iran’s freedom together. And moment by moment we remember those children who many times are more deserving than us to get academic titles. But poverty and discrimination have taken away their opportunity.

We, like all the youths who killed in the streets, have no desire but the freedom of Iran. And our resistance in the prison is a small responsibility on our shoulders in front of those bloods.

After the sufferings and hardships of these years, we believe in the coming moments of real happiness. We are sure that the beautiful dawn of freedom will rise and a free Iran will realize.

Cordially yours
Amirhossein and Ali
