These three prisoners who were detained during the nationwide protests were also arrested on the same charge in late November 2022 and severely tortured to confess to their murder.

According to published reports, Saleh Mirhashmi had been tortured so much that he was clearly visible when he met his family.

Majid Kazemi, one of the defendants in this case, told his family that they tortured him so much that he confessed to having a weapon and committing murder.

On Monday, January 9, 2023, Majid Kazemi, Saeed Yaqoubi and Saleh Mirhashmi tried by the Isfahan Revolutionary Court. Then they sentenced to death on the charges of “Moharebeh” through the use of weapons, forming and managing a group with the intention of disrupting the security of the country and society, and collusion”. became They also sentenced to 10 years in prison for membership and cooperation with the Mojahedin Organization. The preliminary death sentence issued by Morteza Barati, the head of the first branch of Isfahan Revolutionary Court, and was referred to the Supreme Court.

After the arrest, torture and issuance and approval of the death sentence of these prisoners, popular activities carried out to prevent their execution. In their activities, the people of Isfahan consider Khamenei responsible for the murder of the Isfahan house.
