In a short part of Mr. Arzhang Davoodi’s letter, he writes

I remember when the head of the Revolutionary Guards, Hashemi Rafsanjani, who was one of the government leaders in 1993.

ً Responded arrogantly and shamefully by claiming, “With 15%, one can rule.” Yes, definitely, with 15% of armed thugs at your disposal, you might be able to rule for a few days, but governance and leadership, never, never.

Arzhang Davoodi was born in 1953 in Abadan and studied in America. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management.

Mr. Davoodi was among the active students in the Confederation of Iranian Students before the revolution. After the 1978 revolution, he returned to Iran and worked in the Ministry of Oil. Seeing oppression and dictatorship, he decided to fight against it.

Arzhang Davoodi, a political prisoner, arrested in November 2003

Also, he sentenced to permanent dismissal from the management of Parto Hekmat Educational-Cultural Complex, 74 lashes and exile to prisons in the south of the country.

Mr. Davoudi finally released from Gohardasht prison on March 4, 2022, after enduring about 20 years of imprisonment. During 20 years of imprisonment and torture, he suffered from various diseases, one of the most severe of which was breaking his leg and hip in Zahedan Central Prison by the deputy head of the prison when he was thrown from above.

The main accusations of Arzhang Davoodi, starting and establishing the Iranian Freedom Movement and Confederation of Iranian Students, writing and publishing the regime change manifesto, participating in production of documentary film Banned Iran and interviewing in it, insulting Khomeini, Khamenei and other officials of the system, insulting holy things And cooperation with Canadian journalist “Jane Kokan” to make the documentary “Iran Banned” is also mentioned in his case and led to the issuance of a verdict.

The documentary film “Forbidden Iran”, Saeed Mortazavi, the former prosecutor of Tehran, introduced as the main perpetrator of the murder of Iranian Canadian journalist Zahra Kazemi in 1982.
