With the execution of at least eight prisoners in the last two days, the number of executions in the Iranian year 1402 reached 85 people.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, at least eight prisoners executed on May 13 and 14, 2023. On Sunday, May 14, 2023, two prisoners were executed in Sanandaj Central Prison.
Also, on Saturday, May 13, 2023, six prisoners executed in Kerman prison.
The names of the executed prisoners of Sanandaj prison were Saeed Arjamandi and Kiyomarth Manbari, and both accused of murder.
These two prisoners transferred to solitary confinement on Thursday, May 11. Saeed Arjamandi was transferred and sent back to prison twice before to execute the death sentence.
The six prisoners executed in Kerman prison were all drug-related defendants and were sentenced to death for this charge.
Kambiz Davrpanah and Shamal Adish, both from Dehdasht, were two of these executed people. There is no information about the names and details of the other 4 prisoners.
It should be noted that in recent days, at least three prisoners have been transferred from Khorram Abad prison to execute the death sentence, but their fate is not known.
In the month of May, Iran’s judicial system quickly decided to assign and kill prisoners under the name of revenge and executed them. At least 85 prisoners, including two women, have been executed since the beginning of the Iranian year 1402.
