The death sentence of a prisoner was executed in Borujerd
Iranian Human Rights Society: At dawn on Sunday, October 23, 2022. the death sentence of a prisoner in Borujerd named Sajjad Zainivandnejad was executed on charges of murder.
Sajjad Zainivandnejad was 28 years old and accused of murder.
An informed source about the execution of this prisoner told the Iranian Human Rights Society. “Sajad Zainivandnejad is 28 years old and accused of murder and has been imprisoned in Borujerd prison since 2020 on the same charge.”
Including the execution of this prisoner, the number of executions has reached at least 486 since the beginning of 2022.
Iran’s human rights community has warned against the crimes committed in prisons, including executions. He has repeatedly called for immediate action by the United Nations Human Rights Council to stop the executions in Iran.
