The final verdict of the detainees of the national protests in the case related to the murder of Ajamian announced
According to the report of the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Supreme Court confirmed and announced the final verdict of 8 people arrested during the nationwide protests in Karaj. In the case related to the murder of a Basij member named Ajamian.
Mizan news agency affiliated with the judiciary announced the confirmation of the verdict of these prisoners. Quoting the Chief Justice of Alborz province.
According to this news agency, Hamid Qara Hassanlou sentenced to 15 years in prison. Other three detainees, Reza Aria, Mehdi Mohammadi and Hossein Mohammadi, each sentenced to 10 years in prison and exile.
Mohammad Amin Akhlaghi Savejbalaghi, Amin Mehdi Shokrullahi. And Farzaneh Qara Hassanlou each sentenced to 5 years in prison and exile. And Ali Moazzami Gudarzi sentenced to three years in prison and exile.
In November 2022, more than 15 people arrested in connection with the murder of a Basiji member named Ajamian. Who was murdered in Karaj on November 3, 2022. These detainees tried in the first branch of the Karaj Revolutionary Court headed by Judge “Moussa Asif Al-Husseini”. On charges of Moharebeh, « Corruption on Earth and Rebellion » and other charges.
Two of these detainees, Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Sayed Mohammad Hosseini. Executed on Saturday, January 7, 2023, in this connection.
