Another prisoner executed in Sepidar prison in Ahvaz
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, September 24, 2023. With the execution of another prisoner in Sepidar prison in Ahvaz, number of prisoners executed in this prison reached two.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Organization, on Monday, August 21, 2023. A prisoner named Yazdan Vareh Zardi executed on charges of murder in Sepidar prison in Ahvaz. Yazdan Wareh Zardi, 30 years old, from Khorram Abad. He arrested six years ago on charges of murder in Ahvaz and taken to Khorram Abad prison.
Not long ago, he was transferred from Khorramabad prison to Sepidar in Ahvaz to execute the death sentence .
On the same day, another prisoner named Abdolreza Qalavand, one of accused related to drugs, executed in Sepidar prison in Ahvaz. In this way, the number of executions in Sepidar prison reached two.
Based on what has published in media so far from the executions of the last month of the Iranian year 1402. 71 prisoners executed in Iranian prisons this month. These executions are carried out by the government to maintain its sovereignty and increase repression in the society, because it is continuously facing increasing protests. The ruling body intends to maintain and stabilize its government with these executions and repression.
