Four Kurdish political prisoners executed in GHezelHesar prison
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Monday, January 29, 2024. Four political prisoners Pejman Fatehi, Mohsen Mazloum, Mohammad Faramarzi and Wafa Azarbar executed in GHezelHesar prison. Mizan news agency of the Judiciary announced that these four prisoners executed in the dawn of Monday 29th of January. He also linked them with Mossad and accused them of collaborating with Israel.
Yesterday, January 28, 2024, the families of these four political prisoners had their first and last meeting with their children after 19 months of their detention. They deprived of visits and contacts and also deprived of the right to access a lawyer. According to their relatives, within 24 hours, the death sentence of these four prisoners approved by Branch 9 of the Supreme Court.
Mohsen Mazloumi (known as Ma’roufi), 28 years old, from Mahabad, Pexhman Fatehi, 28 years old, from Kamiaran. Vafa Azarbar, 29 years old, from Bukan, and also Mohammad (Hajir) Faramarzi, 29 years old, from Dehgolan, arrested on August 2022 in the Souma’i Baradost area of Urmia County.
Jnuary 2023, four death sentence issued
In mid-January 2023, the political prisoners Mohsen Mazloumi, Pezhman Fatehi, Vafa Azarbar, and also Mohammad Faramarzi, after a year and a half of uncertainty accompanied by lack of information, sentenced to death.

Before this, security institutions released videos in which four political prisoners, Mohsen Mazloumi, Pejman Fatemi, Vafa Azarbar, and Mohammad Faramarzi, made forced confessions of cooperating with other countries. These confessions made after nearly 3 months of mental and physical torture.
Security forces were unable to diminish the effects of torture on the faces of these prisoners, even with makeup. The broken faces of the detainees in the released videos indicated the severity of the torture inflicted. These prisoners also accused of being members of the Komala Party of Kurdistan.
