At least four prisoners executed in Karaj Central Prison in one day
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, in just one day, on January 23, 2023, four prisoners executed in Karaj Central Prison on drug-related charges.
The names of this prisoner were Omid Karamali, Sabina Ismailzadeh, Abolfazl Barghani Nejad, Ahmad Zali Tabar.
Sabina Ismailzadeh was a 30-year-old Kurdish prisoner from Mahabad and a student of architecture. He arrested 6 years ago on the charge of “narcotics”. Abolfazl Barghani Nejad from Karaj arrested on charges related to “narcotics”.
Previously, a prisoner named Saman Nabi Grossi executed in the same prison on January 22, 2023. In this way, at least 5 prisoners executed in Karaj Central Prison in two days.
In this way, since the beginning of the Iranian month of Bahman, at least 5 prisoners executed in one prison within three days. Iran is a country that uses coercive methods by executing and repressing its citizens to maintain its sovereignty.
We remind you that in the year 2021, a total of 350 prisoners were executed in Iranian prisons under the rule of Velayat al-Faqih. The statistics recorded in 2022 indicate the expansion of executions. At least 273 more prisoners have been executed since 2021.
