On Thursday, May 4, 2023, fourteen prisoners executed in Iranian prisons on charges of drugs and murder.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Fourteen prisoners executed in one day, including two prisoners who executed in prison in Karaj. The two prisoners executed in Ghezel Hesar prison, Mehdi Farrokhi and Mohammad Ali Bani Ebrahimi, accused of drug possession. On May 3, they transferred to the solitary cell of Qezalhasar prison in Karaj to carry out the death sentence.
Also, on May 2, 2023. A Baloch prisoner named Mohammad Malek Dadzahi (Rigi) executed in Vakil Abad prison of Mashhad on drug-related charges.
Mohammad Malek Dadzahi, 31 years old, married, had three young children.
According to the statistics collected so far, in the last two weeks, at least 49 prisoners, including 2 women, executed.
In May 2023, we are witnessing a rapid increase in the execution of prisoners, especially Baloch prisoners, in Iranian prisons.
Iran’s human rights Society has repeatedly warned against the rapid increase in the execution of death sentences and demands an end to these crimes.
