A prisoner was executed in Urmia Central Prison. He was taken to solitary confinement along with 4 other prisoners to be executed.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Friday, May 5, 2023, a prisoner by the name of Faramarez Karzai, married and the father of two children, was executed in Urmia Central Prison.
He was arrested three years ago in connection with drugs and sentenced to death.
It should be noted that in the last two weeks, nearly 50 prisoners, most of whom were Baloch prisoners, were executed in a few days.
