Freedom-loving teacher Hashem Khastar beaten and transferred to solitary
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, Wednesday , December 28, 2022. Mrs. Sediqeh Maleki Fard, the wife of political prisoner teacher Hashem Khastar. She informed about the severe beating of Freedom-loving teacher Hashem Khastar. Breaking his arms and legs, and the transfer of Mr. Hashem to solitary confinement in Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad.
On Wednesday night, December 28, Ms. Hashem’s wife was informed that on Wednesday morning, prison officers had severely beaten Mr. Hashem Khastar. And in order not to let this news out, they have banned him from meeting. Other people of section 6/1 (six / one) are also under strict control so that the news of this brutal action against Mr. Hashem Khastar does not leak out of the prison. On the morning of Thursday, December 29. When Mrs. Maleki Fard went to Revolutionary Court, judicial assistant of the prosecutor did not give her any clear answer.
In the follow-up, it became clear Mr. Hashem Khastar is forbidden for 84 days, having any meeting and phone calls and imprisoned in solitary cell.
Mr. Kamal Jafari, a political prisoner who has serious problems with his neck, wrote several letters to the prison authorities, but no one took any action. He objected to the fact that the prison officials fight with him instead of responding to this prisoner’s problem.
Mr. Hashem Khastar intervenes to mediate. But the officers and head of the ward beat these two 70-year-old prisoners and then transfer them to solitary confinement.
Hashem Khastar, a teacher, currently imprisoned in Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad. Previously, he had written in a message about the uprising of the Iranian people. “The women’s revolution, the revolution of brave girls, and the liberating revolution of the Iranian heroic nation will soon win.”
Hashem Khastar was born on May 23, 1953 in Birjand. He is an agricultural engineer, a retired teacher, a member of the board of directors of the Mashhad Teachers Union. He is also a representative of Iranian teachers and a political prisoner.
Hashem Khastar graduated in agricultural engineering in 1976 from Urmia Agricultural University. and has taught in agricultural college.
He has been facing various sentences from Mashhad Revolutionary Court for a long time.
