According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, since September 20, 2022, the telephone calls of Evin prisoners with their families have been cut. This has caused the families of prisoners to worry.
Due to nationwide protests that have escalated in all cities of Iran, the telephone calls of Evin prisoners with their families have been cut off.
According to an informed source, the contact of the prisoners of Evin prison with their families has been cut off since yesterday. By taking some prisoners and contacting their families, the prison officials are trying to make the matter seem easy and the conditions normal. But the families of the prisoners are worried that they may be harassed during this disconnection.
Concerns of families
“We are worried about our prisoners,” the source added. Because the situation is difficult and we have no doubt that they are under pressure in this situation.”
It should be noted that during the past few days, nationwide demonstrations have been going on in all cities of the country against the murder of Mehsa Amini and against the government.
