Murdering Mahsa Amini – third day of nationwide protests started in Iranian cities and universities
Iranian Human Rights Society, Tuesday, September 20. Following Murdering Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old girl from Saqqez, third day of nationwide protests began in Iran. During the last two days, people came to the streets in many cities and chanted slogans against the entire regime. People want to overthrow entire system of the Islamic Republic and establish freedom.
On the third day of protests, many universities, including Tehran, Science and Technology, Beheshti, Kharazmi, Tabriz University and Yazd University, came to the street.
Demonstrations also spread in Tehran, Ilam, Bandar Abbas, Kermanshah, Isfahan, Ma’ali Abad, Arak, Qazvin, Tabriz, Khorramabad, Zanjan, Qom, Mashhad, Hamadan, etc. One of the main slogans used in the demonstrations is “Death to Khamenei”.
Students clashed with security officers and prevented the arrest of their classmates
Some slogans of the students are:
Khamenei is a murderer -His jurisprudence is invalid
student dies and does not accept abjection
If we don’t stand together, we will end one by one
Freedom is our right, Gina (Mahsa) is our password
Following the protests today, Tuesday, September 20, Tehran market also joined the protests. People and youth chanted slogans in the market of Tehran:
Mahsa Amini, her soul is happy and Zealous merchants, sellers and shopkeepers support Mahsa
In the province of Ilam, people chanted death to Khamenei in the street.
Arak also supported nationwide protests the murder of Mahsa Amini.
Also, in the past days, security agents fired at the protesters, which resulted in the death of several people and wounding many citizens, including women and children. Security agents also arrested many people.
Hengaw news agency announced in a report: “At least 3 citizens were killed, 221 people were injured and at least 250 people arrested during the protests against Mahsa Amini’s murder in Kurdistan.” The injured are 43 women and 24 children and teenagers under the age of 18.
Also, a citizen named Fereydoun Mahmoudi, 33, from Saqqez, killed by direct fire from the armed forces during protests last night. It is said that his body buried at night and without any ceremony under strict security measures.
