Iran. Execution of two prisoners in Ghazalhessar prison in Karaj
Two prisoners accused of drugs and murder executed in GHezelhesar prison in Karaj
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Wednesday, November 1 , 2023. Two prisoners named Sadegh Tajik and Yadollah Farrokhi executed in GHezelhesar prison in Karaj.
Sadegh Tajik, a citizen of Afghanistan, accused of murder and sentenced to death after arresting.
Yadollah Farrokhi, from Kuhdasht of Lorestan Province, also hanged at Ghezelhesar Prison on drug-related charges.
Historically، the execution of the death penalty has been an instrument of powers and the exercise of dictatorial rule to intimidate and also surrender the people. The dictatorship ruling Iran has been using the means of execution for forty years to perpetually create repression and also stabilize its sovereignty because renouncing executions and repression would mean the destruction of the Velayat-e Faqih regime.
Iran is a country that uses the tool of execution to suppress its own people and has the highest number of executions per capita. The death sentences are issued and executed for crimes that, according to common legal definitions in the world, are not considered as “very serious crimes” and are the result of unfair and non-compliant trials with international standards.
