Another Crime: Milad Zohrevand Executed Among Those Arrested in the Nationwide Uprising
Milad Zohrevand, one of the prisoners of the nationwide uprising, hanged in Hamedan Central Prison.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, November 23, 2023, Milad Zohrevand, whose death sentence approved by the Supreme Court a few days before, executed in Hamedan Central Prison.
He accused of killing Ali Nazari, a security officer attached to the Ministry of Intelligence, during the nationwide uprising in Malayer. On November 13, 2023, the Ministry of Judiciary reported that the case of Milad Zohrevand prepared to send to the execution of sentences.
“According to HeNgaw website, his body not handed over to his family until the evening, and the handing over of Milad’s body made conditional on not holding a funeral ceremony in the city of Malair.”

In early July 2022, the Hamedan Revolutionary Court issued a death sentence for the murder of Ali Nazari. And the Head of Hamedan Judiciary confirmed the death sentence against him, and sent the case to the Supreme Court. He deprived of access to a lawyer during the proceedings and trials, and his family pressured by the IRGC. Milad Zohrevand transferred from Malayer Prison to Hamedan Central Prison.
