More than three executions in one day. Execution of five prisoners in Gohardasht and Kahnuj prisons
Five prisoners accused of murder and drug-related crimes were executed in Gohardasht and Kahnuj prisons. On average, in June, more than three people were executed in one day.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, in the two days of May 31 and June 1, 2023, at least five prisoners were executed in Gohardasht and Kahnuj prisons. Statistics show that in continuation of past executions and speeding up the execution process of prisoners, in the past eleven days, more than three prisoners have been executed in one day.
On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, three prisoners accused of murder were executed in Gohardasht prison.
Nader Nouri, Hossein Rusta and another prisoner whose name is unknown, all three were residents of Shahryar and accused of murder.
A reliable source told the Iranian Human Rights Society: “The plaintiffs of these three prisoners asked for billions of dollars to get their consent.” But due to the inability of the prisoners and their families to provide this money, three prisoners were executed.”
On Thursday, June 1, 2023, two Baloch prisoners of drug-related charges. Ashkan Sohrabi and Aria Parvizi, were executed in Kohnouj prison.
Ashkan Sohrabi, 24 years old, married, and Aria Parvizi, 23 years old, were from Zahklot, Jazmurian (Kerman province).
These two prisoners were arrested and sentenced to death in connection with drugs in late 2019.
