Mustafa Perkan’s indecisiveness in Chabahar Central Prison
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Monday, December 19, 2022. Mustafa Perkan, one of those arrested in Zahedan, after a month of his detention in Chabahar Central Prison , he is still undecided.
Mustafa Perkan was kidnapped on November 18, after Friday prayers by Chabahar intelligence.
According to a reliable source, he was tortured by Chabahar intelligence to confess that he was the leader of the protests. This is while he is illiterate and forced to sign the interrogation sheets.
Mustafa Perkan was summoned to the Revolutionary Court on November 29. On December 12th, the court hearing of his case was held in the 101st branch of justice. He participated in this meeting through video call.
In the case, he was accused of leading protests, shouting slogans and creating disturbances, and a case was filed against him based on these issues.
Mustafa Perkan has not been able to access a lawyer. According to the same source, he has bipolar disorder.
Mustafa Perkan, a fellow Baloch citizen, from Chabahar city, was born in 1993 and is single. He was working as a day laborer at the wharf when he was arrested.
On the 14th day of nationwide uprising and demonstrations in Iranian cities. On September 30, military and security forces in Zahedan city killed and injured dozens of people by shooting directly at protesting citizens and worshippers. Protesters shouted slogans and threw stones against the bullets.
