“Re-arrest and no news of Mitra Javadi in Shahin Dezh”
According to the Iran Human Rights Society, there is no information about the fate of Mitra Javadi despite more than 20 days passing since her arrest. Mithra Javadi arrested on October 27th, 2023, and transferred to an unknown location.
There is no information about the charges or reasons for her arrest. Mitra Javadi, a 19-year-old, previously arrested on November 19, 2022, by security forces and detained for 19 days in Urmia city.
Mahsa Amini was a 22-year-old Kurdish girl who arrested by the morality police in Tehran on September 13th, 2022. Due to the beatings by the repressive agents, she suffered a skull fracture and subsequently a brain death. She hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Kasra Hospital since September 13th. But she passed away on September 15th due to the severity of her injuries. Following the news of her death on social media, people took to the streets to protest. And later it turned into nationwide riots in 2022.
Iranian society, due to the accumulated dissatisfaction of more than 40 years of suppression of individual and also creating of fear. social and political freedoms, also creating of fear. And ignored by the government and economic and also livelihood problems are in an explosive situation. This situation can be clearly seen in the streets of the cities and also in the gatherings and slogans of the people. Where people, youths and women stand and resist against the repressive officers. Where different classes of people, such as retirees, nurses, workers, property losers, etc., come to the streets to get their rights and shout for their rights.
