The verdict of the court delivered to him on December 24, 2023
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Sanan Norouzi, 26 years old, from Sanandaj sentenced to 8 months in prison by the Sanandaj court on the charge of “disclosing confidential documents”.
The verdict of the court delivered to him on December 24, 2023.
Sanan Nowrozi arrested on June 1, 2022, on charges of “collaborating with groups opposing the regime”. On Sunday, September 10, 2023, he tried in Sanandaj Revolutionary Court on charges of revealing documents.
He has also been sentenced to a three-year suspended sentence in another case in November 2022.
Arbitrary and widespread arrests
Widespread and arbitrary suppression and arrests, ambiguity in the trial process of political and non-political defendants, and more are among the cases that international human rights organizations have repeatedly referred to as violations of human rights laws by government security forces. These cases strongly condemned in Amnesty International’s report on March 28, 2023.
It also stated in Article 11 of this law that everyone presumed innocent until proven guilty. This is despite the fact that the repressive agents and torturers force the accused to make confessions with mental and physical torture and consider them as the main document to present to the court.
Basically, in the last 4 decades, the rights of the people violated by the heads of the government. People have also tried to restore their trampled rights with their protests during these years. Over the years, it is proven to everyone that this action is possible only by overthrowing the ruling dictatorship.
