According to a source close to the families of the prisoners, when the families of the prisoners went to Shiban Ahvaz prison for a visit, they were told that the meeting with these prisoners had been prohibited by the order of Mohammad Niazi, the prison’s internal manager.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society website, on Monday, April 15, 2024, the authorities of Shiban Ahvaz prison have announced the prohibition of seventeen political prisoners from meeting their families.
Reports from inside the Shiban prison indicate that the prison’s internal manager has issued the order to prohibit these political prisoners from meeting their families. A source close to the families of these prisoners stated that when the families went to the prison for a visit on Saturday, April 13, 2024, they were informed that the meeting with these prisoners has been prohibited by the order of Mohammad Niazi, the prison’s internal manager. This action has increased the families’ concern about the well-being of their loved ones.
All these prisoners needed treatment and medical treatment due to diseases caused by torture and bad conditions in Shiban prison. However, the prison authorities had forbidden medical treatment of these prisoners for the purpose of torture.
The names of the prisoners whose visits have been banned, including their illnesses, are as follows:
1ـ Gholamhossein Kolbifar, son of Abdolreza, 60 years old, sentenced to life imprisonment, spent a total of 24 years in prison. Suffering from ear infection, joint pain, and gastrointestinal infection, detained since 2000.
2ـ Abdolemam Zaeri, son of Mahmoud, 48 years old, sentenced to life imprisonment, spent 19 years in prison. suffering from prostate issues and left ear bleeding infection, detained since 2005.
3ـ Abdolzahra Helichi, son of Khazal, 41 years old, sentenced to life imprisonment, detained since 2005, spent 19 years in prison, suffering from knee arthritis.
4ـ Mohammad Mo’men Teymase, son of Abdolreza, 64 years old, sentenced to 5 years, spent 1.5 years in prison, suffering from back disc issues and diabetes.
5ـ Jaber Sokhravi, son of Aghomi, 38 years old, sentenced to 12.5 years, spent 10 years in prison, suffering from multiple sclerosis, fatty liver, and rupture of the right leg tendon, detained since 2014.
- Yahya Naseri, son of Mansour, 38 years old, sentenced to life imprisonment, detained in 2005. Spent 19 years in prison, suffering from hemorrhoids.
- Mohammad Ali Amouri, son of Abdul Zahra, 44 years old, sentenced to life imprisonment and 5 years. Spent 14 years in prison. Suffering from sinusitis, gum and tooth infection, paralysis of the little finger right hand, detained in 2010
Seyyed Jaber Alboshkeh needs urgent surgery in Shiban prison
- Seyyed Jaber Alboshkeh, son of Mohammad, 41 years old, sentenced to life imprisonment and 15 years> Spent 14 years in prison, suffering from eye pterygium problems and in need of urgent surgery, detained in 2010.
- Seyed Mokhtar Alboshkeh, son of Mohammad, 38 years old, sentenced to life imprisonment and 5 years. Spent 14 years in prison, in need of hernia surgery, detained in 2010.
- Fares Ramahi, son of Mahmoud, 28 years old, sentenced to 35 years + 15 years, spent 5 years in prison. Suffering from pilonidal sinus or ingrown hair in the skin disease and lung infection, arrested in 2018.
- Mohammad Reza Moghadam, 33 years old, sentenced to death, spent 5 years in prison. Suffering from pilonidal sinus or ingrown hair in the skin disease, arrested in 2018.
- Mohammad Loeimi, son of Jasem, 27 years old, sentenced to 9 months. Spent 5 months in prison, suffering from blood platelet disease, arrested in 2023.
- Hassan Savari, son of Hashem, 41 years old, sentenced to 11 years, spent 6 years in prison, suffering from diabetes.
- Ali Halafi, son of Abdulnabi, 57 years old, sentenced to 30 years, spent 19 years in prison. Sffering from hemorrhoids and in need of knee surgery, arrested in 2005.
- Ali Sayahi, son of Hassan, 46 years old, sentenced to 10 years, spent 4 years in prison, suffering from diabetes and heart disease.
Political prisoner Ayub Porkar
Ayub Porkar, the son of Mansour, is 69 years old. He sentenced to 20 years, of which he has already spent 13 years in prison. He suffers from hernia on both sides and knee arthritis.
Hossein Sobhan, the son of Matir, is 33 years old. He sentenced to 8 years, of which he has already spent 3 years in prison. He suffers from a back disc disease.
These prisoners are serving their sentences in Ward 5 of Shiban Prison in Ahvaz. The prison authorities do not adhere to the principle of crime segregation in relation to these prisoners. Earlier, Iranian Human Rights Society website had exposed the silent death plot of these prisoners by authorities of Shiban Prison.
