Sunni political prisoners in QezelHesar prison subjected to physical and psychological torture
Sunni political prisoners in QezelHesar prison are under intense pressure and torture by prison officials.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Sunni religious-political prisoners locked in the safe ward of Unit 3 of GhezelHesar prison. After the execution of two of them, their number reached 15 and they kept in a small room.
They are deprived of all normal facilities. Recently, after another one of them transferred to execute the death sentence, they were also attacked by the prison guard and their belongings were briefly destroyed.
These prisoners, under the orders of Hashmetollah Hayat al-Ghaib, the head of the Tehran province prison organization, held in a secure cell alongside dangerous prisoners, under a death sentence and in punitive detention.
Their cells inspected numerous times, and the few facilities they had obtained with a lot of difficulty and personal expense destroyed and broken. In addition, they constantly subjected to humiliation and also insults by the prison guards.
Following the execution of two of these Sunni ideological-political prisoners, Mr. Ghasem Abesteh and also Ayoub Karimi, the third person, Mr. Davood Abdollahi, has now transferred to solitary confinement for the execution of the death sentence.
Pressure on these ideological and political prisoners increasing
Every day and every moment, the pressure on these ideological and political prisoners is increasing. So that after months, they still have no ventilation, also no sanitary facilities, hot water, and also lighting. and the continuation of these conditions has seriously endangered the physical and also mental health of these prisoners.
It should noted that on Tusesday, 5 Dey 1402 (December 26, 2023). The Sunni political prisoner Davood Abdullahi transferred to solitary confinement for execution.
