After six years of uncertainty, Sunni prisoner Faridun Zakeri Nasab deprived of the minimum facilities
According to the Human Rights Society of Iran, on Sunday, the second of Mehr month, 1402 (Iranian calendar), the Sunni prisoner Faridoun Zakari Nasab is deprived of basic facilities in Qazalhasar Prison in Karaj. During his six years in prison, he charged with insurgency and faced the risk of execution. He has also suffering heart disease.
According to informed sources, he and other Sunni prisoners are facing severe conditions after transferred from Gohardasht Prison to this place. They deprived of ventilation for about two months. They also deprived of hot water for bathing and hygiene. The sanitary conditions in their place of detention are very poor.
This is happening while some of them have been in prison since 2009, and some are at risk of execution. Despite numerous efforts by these prisoners, the prison authorities have not provided them with any satisfactory response, and the conditions are deteriorating day by day.
Faridoun Zakari Nasab, the Sunni prisoner, arrested in 2017. He sentenced to death twice by Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court on charges of “assisting in insurgency”. And also on charge of “spreading corruption on earth.” Both of these sentences overturned by the Supreme Court of the country. After six years in prison, he remains in a limbo condition.

Faridoun , before his arrest, was a Kung Fu instructor in Kermanshah province and has a master’s degree in management.
Sunni political prisoners, including Ghasem Abasteh, Davood Abdullahi, Anwar Khezri, Khusro Basharat, Farhad Salimi. Also Ayoub Karimi, and Kamran Sheikheh, are enduring the worst conditions. These prisoners transferred from Gohardasht Prison to Qazalhessar Prison on Wednesday, August 1, 2023, as part of the policy of emptying Gohardasht Prison.
