Execution of three prisoners, including one Baloch prisoner, in Dieselabad, Kermanshah, Yazd and Qazvin prisons
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, January 11, 2024, three prisoners, including one Baloch prisoner, were executed in Dizilabad prisons, Kermanshah, Yazd and Qazvin. Two of these prisoners were accused of drug possession and the other prisoner was accused of murder.
Execution of a prisoner in Yazd Central Prison
On the morning of Thursday, January 11, 2024, a Baloch prisoner named Nizam Dehmardeh executed in the central prison of Yazd on charges related to drugs.
Nizam Dehmardeh, Baloch prisoner, 48 years old, married and father of 4 children. He was a resident of Zahedan. Nizam Dehmarde in 2020 arrested and sentenced to death in connection with drugs in Yazd.
This Baloch prisoner transferred from the general prison to the prison quarantine on Tuesday, January 9.
Execution in Dieselabad Prison, Kermanshah.
At dawn on Thursday, January 11, 2024, a prisoner named Meisham Habibi executed in Dizelabad prison of Kermanshah on the charge of premeditated murder.
Maysam Habibi, 37 years old, from Paveh, accused of murder and arrested and sentenced to death for this charge 7 years ago.
Execution in Qazvin Central Prison
On the morning of Thursday, January 11, 2024, a Kurdish prisoner named Flit Abedi executed in Qazvin Central Prison on charges related to drugs.
55-year-old Flit Abedi from a village in Urmia. Also, three years ago in Qazvin, he arrested on charges related to drugs and sentenced to death.
The government leaders use execution as the most important tool to suppress and intimidate the society. They try to prevent the resurgence of uprisings by increasing the number of executions. The government leaders severely suppress any gathering related to condemning the executions. And also even prevent the gathering of the families of the condemned prisoners.A
