Issuing whipping sentence and filing a case for political prisoner Sina Zahiri
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Monday, October 3, 2022. The Kechui court issued a whipping sentence for the political prisoner Sina Zahiri and filed a case against him.
According to the report of a reliable source, the Quechua court located in Darakeh Evin. He tried to make a fake case against the political prisoner Sina Zahiri. and sentenced him to 74 lashes due to his delay in returning to prison after the end of his leave.
According to the same source, the political prisoner Sina Zahiri was supposed to have a doctorate interview outside the prison. But the prison authorities had given him a leave two days after the doctorat’s interview date.
This source adds: “Because the date of the interview had passed. Sina Zahiri was 7 days late to determine the result and take another time for this task. And finally, he was forced to return to prison without conducting an interview
Prison officials took advantage of this issue and sentenced her to suffer 74 lashes, which is an inhuman punishment. While it was their own fault.
Who is Sina Zuhairi?
Sina Zahiri, born in 1982, was sentenced to 5 years in prison and transferred to Evin prison on November 13, 2020. This political prisoner was sentenced to 5 years in prison in March 2018, on the charge of being associated with the People’s Mojahedin.
Sina Zahiri was arrested before this date in 2010. After spending 5 months in solitary confinement and interrogation in Ward 209 of Evin, he was deported to Gohardasht prison. He was then sentenced to 2 years in prison by Judge Salavati and was released from Gohardasht prison in June 2012.
