Women arrested on the anniversary of the nationwide uprising kept in Qarchak and Varamin prison’s quarantine
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Friday, September 22, 2023. 130 out of 600 women arrested on anniversary of the 2022 nationwide uprising currently imprisoned in quarantine of Qarchak and Varamin prisons. Some of detainees released after giving a commitment to the police, and cases have filed for the arrested. On Thursday, September 21, 2023. Bahar News reported that the number of detained females was 600, citing the Detainee Status Monitoring Committee.
According to other news we received, Judge Amouzad stationed in the Qarchak Varamin prison. And issues orders for women prisoners. This happened after the uprising in Qarchak Varamin prison on the anniversary of the protests on September 16, 2023. Women detainees kept in quarantine in a place that, according to Atena Daemi, a former political prisoner, is the dirtiest and worst place for prison and the location for keeping drug addicts.
