“Risk of execution for three protesters of the Zahedan bloody Friday”
“Three of the detainees and protesters of the bloody Friday in Zahedan who sentenced to death are held in Ward 9 of Zahedan prison. This ward lacks any humane conditions.”
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, three of the detainees from the nationwide protests of 1401 (2022) and the bloody Friday protests in Zahedan are facing execution and their lives are in danger. Mansour Dahmardeh, Kambeez Kharot, and Ebrahim Naroui arrested by security forces after the bloody Friday massacre in Zahedan on September 30, 2022. After their arrest, their case was referred to Branch 2 of the Criminal Court.
“Ibrahim Naroui was born on July 16, 1997 and lives in the old road aria of Zahedan. He arrested during the protests on October 3, 2022. After enduring long periods of torture, he transferred to Ward 9 of Zahedan Prison. Ibrahim Naroui deprived of having a lawyer and forced to make false confessions under medieval torture methods. Based on these forced confessions, he sentenced to death.”
Mansour Dahmardeh, born in 2000, arrested on October 3, 2022. He, a disabled citizen, sentenced to death in court. While he claims to have only thrown three stones at the suppressive authorities. But the criminal judge responded that anyone who protests against the government will be sentenced to death.
Death sentence in court without having a lawyer
Kambiz Kharot was born in 2001. He arrested on October 1, 2022, after the bloody Friday protests in Zahedan. His crime is setting fire to a bank, although according to all the protesters, the bank set on fire by government personnel in civilian clothes. He deprived of having a lawyer and subjected to severe torture during his detention. He has sentenced to death in court without having a lawyer.
Maintenance in inhuman conditions
These three individuals who sentenced to death held in Band 9 of Zahedan prison. This ward lacks any humane conditions. Ward 9 of Zahedan prison consists of eight dark cells measuring 1.5 meters by 3 meters, in which between 8 and 10 prisoners held under inhumane conditions.
About the bloody Friday in Zahedan.
On the 30th of September 2022, which known as the bloody Friday in Zahedan, security forces opened fire on the protesting crowd after Friday prayers and killed more than 120 people. The security forces then proceeded to make widespread arrests after suppressing the protests. Currently, many of the young protesters who arrested during the protests in Zahedan and other cities in this province held in prison without trial.
