50 prisoners awaiting execution. Execution of two prisoners in Kerman prison
This morning, two drug-related prisoners were executed in Kerman prison. This is while the judiciary has put the execution of 50 prisoners sentenced to death in this prison on its agenda.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on the morning of Tuesday, June 6, 2023, Malek Baloch Mahani and Kambiz Barzkar were executed in Kerman prison.
According to Rasanak website, Malik Baloch Mahani, 40 years old, and Kambiz Barzkar, 32 years old, are both married and have children. They were arrested in 2019 on drug-related charges and sentenced to death for the same charges.
The two prisoners had their last visit with the family the day before.

The judiciary recently sent a list of 50 prisoners sentenced to death to Kerman prison and put the execution of these 50 prisoners on the prison’s agenda.
During the last 16 days, at least 37 prisoners were executed in Iranian prisons. Since the beginning of this year, the judiciary has accelerated the execution of the death sentence. This has been condemned by human rights organizations.
