Government’s efforts to remove women from social sphere.
Since coming to power, the dictatorial regime in Iran used all its tools and resources to exclude women from workforce. And also social efforts, as well as community management and leadership. They have tried to impose their backward views on Iranian society and women. Violence against women, supported by fundamentalist views, and also approved by law. And various forms of suppressing women also implemented without any legal basis.

Approval of Anti-Women Laws (International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women)
The anti-women laws approved in the dictatorship of the Supreme Leader legitimize violence against women. The humiliation and insult of women in official radio and television programs, the expansion of oppressive patrols known as chastity and hijab, etc., provide the grounds for violence against women.
According to these anti-women laws, women deprived of the right to divorce, travel, etc. The leaders of the government, by promoting polygamy and allowing multiple marriages for men. Try effectively endorse the humiliation and violence against women and make it legal.
Denying violence against women through a change in governance

The issue of violence against women is not separate from other problems and challenges faced by our society. Under the rule of religious dictatorship, it is not possible to examine violence against women as an independent phenomenon from other social issues and problems, and undoubtedly, a separate solution cannot be found for it under such governance.
As long as the government, with all the tools at its disposal, promotes violence and humiliation against women and girls, talking about changing this policy is impossible. Today, all the problems of society rooted in changing the government and fundamental changes in conditions. All civil activities, including women’s activities, aimed at achieving fruitful results.
Active participation of women in the struggle against this government
For the above reasons, Iranian women were among the protesters in the nationwide uprisings of 2022 and the nationwide protests in 2009 and 2006. Among them, we must mention the role and presence of the mothers of the martyrs of the uprising who courageously raised their voices to seek justice for the blood of their children. We also refer to the presence of Baloch women in the protests of Friday protests every week in Zahedan, who came to the streets after Friday prayers and raised their voices against oppression.
Bloodthirsty rulers, aided by their own followers, spilled the blood of Iranian women and girls on the streets. Their crime was only to demand their own rights and freedom. Women and girls like Mahsa Amini, Nika Shakerami, Negin Salehi, Behnaz Afsahi. And also Parisa Bahmani, Nasrin Ghaderi, and many others were among the victims.
Let us remember that the names and details of the women and girls. Who lost their lives in the fight against this anti-women government include tens of thousands of names.

On the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we honor their memory. The girls and women who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Iran in the past four decades. Women who, despite the heaviest pressures, humiliation, both on the streets and in the workplace, universities, educational environments, and prisons. But have stood firm in their invaluable role in the struggle for freedom and paid a heavy price for it.
