Happy Nowruz 1404 – A Message of Hope and Freedom for Iranians

The Iranian Human Rights Society extends its heartfelt congratulations on Nowruz 1404 to all freedom-loving and resilient fellow citizens.

The Iranian Human Rights Society extends its heartfelt congratulations on Nowruz 1404 to all freedom-loving and resilient fellow citizens.

With the arrival of Nowruz 1404, another spring comes. This time under the shadow of hope and the desire for change toward greenery, peace, and friendship. Nowruz, one of the oldest festivals of Iranians, always symbolizes rebirth, renewal of life, and overcoming hardships. In these days, the people of Iran, despite all difficulties, welcome the new year once again with hope. And emphasize the continuation of their struggle for freedom and justice.

Nowruz; A Symbol of Resistance and Endurance

Nowruz is not just a celebration; it represents the resilience and steadfastness of the Iranian people against adversities. Throughout history, this celebration has maintained its place in Iranian culture despite historical changes, wars, and hardships. And it remains an unbreakable bond among generations. Today, as the people of Iran face various political, social, and economic pressures. Nowruz provides an opportunity to once again emphasize their unity and solidarity.

The Past Year; A Year Full of Trials and Resistance

The year 1403 was challenging and testing for the people of Iran. From the suppression of public protests to increasing economic pressures, Iranians experienced a tough period. However, what stood out the most was the powerful desire of the people for change and struggle against injustice.

Civic movements, women’s protests against restrictive laws, and resistance to repressive policies all reflect the hope that lives within this nation. Iranians have shown that, despite repression, they remain steadfast and envision a brighter future.

Nowruz, A Symbol of Hope for a Better Tomorrow

At its core, Nowruz heralds change and transformation. This celebration accompanies the blooming of blossoms and the renewal of nature. So, it also reminds us that darkness and winter cannot last forever. Just as nature revives after months of cold, with trees growing and flowers blooming from the cold soil, the nation of Iran will also witness the dawn of freedom and justice.

Each Haft-Seen table set is a symbol of the desires of people who have fought for years to achieve justice and human dignity.

Nowruz in Prison; Remembering Executed Political Prisoners in the “No to Execution Tuesdays” Campaign

In this context, we must not forget that a group of political prisoners participating in the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign continues their hunger strike despite the severe pressures of the dictatorial regime. These prisoners, whose only crime has been standing against injustice and demanding basic human rights, are currently in unbearable conditions, subjected to physical and psychological torture, sacrificing their lives to halt the execution machine.

Their hunger strike is not merely an individual resistance but a cry against the oppression that has long permeated this land. With each passing week of their strike, we encounter the hopeful message that the darkness of tyranny is not permanent or eternal. They are a symbol of courage, and the real celebration will be when no one is imprisoned or chained for their beliefs, and no person loses their life for demanding justice.

While many people in Iran celebrate Nowruz alongside their families and loved ones, we must remember that thousands of political prisoners, whose only crime has been standing against oppression and defending the rights of the people, are spending this holiday behind bars. They endure difficult conditions, deprived of their basic rights, yet steadfastly uphold the people’s demand for freedom.

Nowruz Amidst the Grief and Sorrow of Executed Families

For many Iranian families, Nowruz is not just the season of spring but a reminder of the absence of loved ones who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom over the past year. Mothers who no longer see their children at the Haft-Seen table, fathers who wait in deep sorrow for their lost children.

Those whose children have fallen victim to the machine of repression and execution face heavy sorrow during this Nowruz. Yet,…

Congratulations to the fighters for freedom and human rights

On this Nowruz, special greetings and congratulations to all those who strive for freedom, human rights, and the overthrow of this authoritarian regime. Those who continue their struggle despite dangers and threats have kept hope alive in the hearts of the people. From human rights activists to independent journalists, from civil society activists to street protesters, all these nameless heroes are the sturdy pillars that will shape a brighter future for Iran. May the new year be filled with victories for all freedom seekers.

Nowruz message for the future of Iran

Nowruz 1404 is an opportunity to remind ourselves once again. This land, with its rich culture and proud history, deserves freedom and progress with its diverse ethnic groups. Just as throughout history Iranians have been able to navigate crises, they possess the ability to change their destiny today as well.

In the new year, it is hoped that Iran will witness steps towards freedom, justice, and human dignity. A future where all Iranians can express their views without fear of repression. And have a share in their country’s destiny.

A wish for a free and flourishing Nowruz

As we await the arrival of the new year, we wish for 1404 to free the hearts of the Iranian people from the pain. And suffering imposed by dictatorship, and we wish for a year filled with success, friendship, and unity for the great nation of Iran.

May your Nowruz be victorious, your heart full of hope, and your path smooth!
