Nationwide Protests Expand in Iranian Cities; Intense Clashes, Setting Fire to Government Centers

Iran protests 2026 intensify with nationwide clashes, police stations burned, direct shootings, and anti-regime chants in Qom, Lorestan, Ilam, and more cities. Unrest spreads rapidly.

Iran Human Rights Society – Thursday, January 1, 2026 – Nationwide demonstrations in Iran grow fiercer daily. Crowds attack government symbols without hesitation. Security forces fire live rounds in several cities. Public anger shatters the long-standing fear barrier.

Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Faces Heavy Assaults

Protesters stormed the seminary and Basij base in Farsan. They openly displayed rage against the ruling system. Lordegan saw destruction of banks and state buildings. Youth deaths triggered even stronger aggressive actions.

Lorestan Province Turns Into Protest Stronghold

Nourabad streets overflowed with determined crowds at dusk. Militant youth burned a security forces armored vehicle. Tear gas clouds covered the city for hours. Live ammunition reports increased tension dramatically.

Aligudarz Completely Rises Against Regime

Citizens in Aligudarz declared their full uprising. Freedom slogans echoed loudly through the streets. Protesters showed unbreakable resolve and unity. The city stands as a powerful symbol of resistance.

Azna Police Station Engulfed in Flames

Angry crowds set the main police headquarters ablaze. They repeatedly chanted “Fire answers fire.” Three protesters lost their lives during fierce clashes. Local fury continues to burn without any pause.

Hamedan Province Joins the Growing Wave

Asadabad witnesses the clear beginning of an uprising. Large groups gather and march through city streets. Hamedan residents break silence with bold actions. These areas strengthen the nationwide protest momentum.

Ilam Province Experiences Brutal Street Fighting

Demonstrations started in Ilam around 5:00 PM. Clashes with security forces grew intensely violent. Crowds shouted “Death to Khamenei” repeatedly. Martyrs Square became the epicenter of confrontation.

Dehloran and Darreh Shahr Maintain Pressure

Additional cities in Ilam province join the fight. Protesters keep confronting forces late into night. Radical slogans spread quickly among the crowds. The atmosphere remains charged and highly explosive.

Kovar in Fars Province Stays Extremely Volatile

Massive crowds fill Kovar streets every evening. Police face direct and continuous street battles. Public anger shows no signs of cooling down. The situation changes rapidly with each passing hour.

Qom Becomes Scene of Deadliest Clashes

Security forces shoot directly at unarmed protesters. Hand-to-hand combat erupts in several locations. Crowds chant “Tank, cannon, shotgun, clerics disappear.” Qom remains one of the most intense battlegrounds.

Nationwide Unrest Shows No Signs of Slowing

Attacks target Basij bases across multiple provinces. Police stations burn in several strategic locations. Deaths rise as security forces escalate repression. People maintain strong presence in dozens of cities.

Public Breaks Fear and Demands Change

Protests signal the collapse of regime intimidation. Citizens risk everything to voice their deep frustration. Slogans target the highest levels of leadership. The movement grows broader and more determined daily.

Developments Shift Moment by Moment

Field reports arrive constantly from various provinces. The scale of demonstrations expands hour by hour. Iran faces its most serious challenge in years. The outcome remains unpredictable and highly fluid.
