Fatemeh Harbi sentenced to 5 years in prison and two years of exile to Tabriz. She is the mother of two children and raised her children with difficulty and working 10 hours a day
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Fatemeh Harbi, the mother of two children aged 17 and 8, sentenced to 5 years in prison and two years of exile by Judge Asif Al-Hosseini. This sentence was announced to her verbally and it has not been officially announced yet, and from this point of view, her family does not have the possibility to request an appeal in the case.
According to one of the relatives of Mrs. Fatemeh Harbi, she has a heart disease. But during the interrogation, she was beaten and tortured, and this caused her family to worry about her physical condition.
Fateme Harbi, 38 years old, has two children, is a visitor of a cosmetics company.
On October 12, 2022, Mrs. Harbi, along with one of her colleagues, was arrested by repressive agents and taken to Gohardasht Security Police and then to Fardis Karaj Prison (Fatemeh Harbi participated in the hunger strike of 15 detainees of the national demonstration in Fardis Karaj prison
She was released on bail after two weeks. But after 10 days, she was summoned orally and transferred to Fardis Karaj Prison (Kachooee).
On December 14, 2022, Fatemeh Harbi was tried online by Judge Asif Al-Husseini in the District Court of Karaj Revolution.
Her family was not allowed to attend the court. In addition, his lawyer was not present in the court.
Fatemeh released on bail. But after 10 days, summoned orally and transferred to Fardis Karaj
After a week, the sentence of 5 years in prison and 2 years of exile to Tabriz was sent to her with a piece of paper and signed.
According to someone close to her, this verdict was not announced to the lawyer, nor was it registered on Sana’s website. Because of this, the family cannot appeal.
Despite the fact that a month has passed since the announcement of the verdict, she is still kept in prison quarantine and has not been transferred to the general ward.
Fatemeh Harbi participated in the hunger strike of 15 detainees of the nationwide uprising in Fardis Karaj Prison (Kachooee).
In prison, she suffered from intestinal and gum infections. She had a heart disease before and prison conditions and new diseases have created dangerous conditions for her.
