Another prisoner was executed in Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society. On Friday, August 25, 2023, another prisoner named Reza Karami executed in Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj. And thus the number of executions in this prison increased to 4 people in one day.
According to a reliable source, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, Reza Karami, a native of Kohdasht, who arrested and sentenced to death on the charge of dealing with drugs, executed in Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj.
On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, four prisoners from unit 2 of Ghezel Hesar prison transferred to quarantine for the execution of the death sentence. The death sentence of these four prisoners with the names of Reza Karami, Behrouz Rahmani Rad, Kiyomarth Rezaei and Rahman Ebrahimi carried out on August 23. All four prisoners charged with drugs.
The Iranian Human Rights Society published the news of the execution of three prisoners on the same day. And after the identity of the fourth person was verified, his news was published. Including the execution of Reza Karami, the number of Iranian executions in the last month reached 72 people.
In order to increase the repression and maintain the rule of the Islamic jurist, the judiciary is killing prisoners under the guise of executing the death sentence. Since the beginning of the Iranian new year 1402, the execution of death sentences in Iranian prisons has accelerated and intensified.
